HealthPlan Services adds Simply DentalSM Plans to Line of Small Group Plans
Tampa -

(Oct. 31, 2008) – HealthPlan Services, the nation’s largest provider of outsourcing solutions for fully-insured products in the insurance industry, has begun rolling out Simply Dental Plans, the newest addition to its line of small group dental plans. Affordable, easy to use and simple to understand, Simply Dental Plans are underwritten by Ameritas Life Insurance Corp. and designed to help keep benefit costs predictable and rates stable.

 

“Simply Dental is an affordable way for employers to expand their employee benefits packages by offering dental insurance, which is the second most requested employee benefit,” said Jay McLauchlin, Senior Vice President of Sales and Distribution, HealthPlan Services. “Developed specifically to meet the needs of today’s busy and cost-conscious employees and employers, these innovative plans eliminate the complexities that often characterize many dental plans. This also makes them easy for agents to sell.”

 

The Simply Dental line includes the Easy Plan and Easy+ Plan, each of which offers two benefit levels, and the Edge Plan that offers three benefit levels. There is no elimination period for benefits paid within levels, and reimbursements are based on the amount of the expense rather than the benefit category. They also feature a choice of annual maximum benefits, and optional orthodontia coverage for both children and adults.

 

Simply Dental Plans cover most dental expenses and allow members or their dentists to submit claims for reimbursement, which are typically processed within 5-10 business days. Although the PPO network of the more than 80,000 provider access points typically saves members 25%, expenses are covered equally whether they choose an in- or out-of-network dentist.

 

Benefits include Ameritas Group’s Dental Rewards®, an innovative program that allows qualifying members to carry over their unused annual maximum amounts for later use, up to a $2,000 annual maximum benefit.
